Hear all about Anna's experience and her hope in 2022 for more openness and transparency in the business world...
Let's kick off with an intro Anna, tell me about yourself, give me your bio babe!
I’m Anna, a Career Coach and Founder of RECLAIM YOUR LANE, on a mission to put women back in the driving seat of their career so that they can make confident and decisive moves forward in their career, fulfill their potential with fire and determination and live happily.
How long have you been in business and what was the catalyst for you to start your own business?
I started my business in December 2020. I actually never set out to be a business owner, but when I realised I had a particular message and a way of sharing it, I knew I had to create my own container from which to deliver it. I aim to bring honesty to those navigating their crossroads. It’s never just about your job, it’s about creating a career that supports the life you want to live and few career coaches were looking at career and life as one.
However, the main catalyst was that I have been where my clients are right now. I know the overwhelm of not knowing what you want to do and the clash of what your intuition tells you and what you think you ‘should’ do. I don’t want anyone to have regrets and wish they’d tried something and gone for it - life is just too short as they say!
Who do you help and how do you help them?
I help women who want to be free of feeling stuck and confused about the ‘what now, ‘what next’ in their career. I support those who have a niggle for wanting something more and who desire change in their life but don’t know where to start.
Through 1:1 coaching or group programmes, I help women feel clear on what they want next in their career, connect to their purpose and move beyond what holds them back so that they can feel confident in their direction. As a result, they’ll feel empowered to take action with intention and build lasting confidence to keep them progressing in their career and living happily.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced whilst owning your own business?
One of my first mentors told me that owning a business is a mental game. You have to work on your mindset every day to ensure you keep going. The biggest challenge I have faced (and still face at times) is self-sabotage and imposter syndrome. That little voice that says, ‘who are you to do this’. The comparison also makes you think you’re not doing as well as others - but stay in your lane, focus on yourself and know you are bringing something no one else is bringing because no one else is you.
What’s your experience been like in terms of support from other women in business?
100% the support of other female business owners keeps me going. I have never met a more compassionate, encouraging group of women as I have in the last few years.
It’s true what they say; behind every successful woman is another woman hyping her up. I’ve made connections and friends I never expected. I’ve had female business coaches and mentors that I know for sure they’ve saved me time, money and happiness of trying to figure it out alone!
What would you like to see more off from the collective women in business this year?
I’d like to see more openness and honesty about the ups and downs of business. The Instagram Vs reality is a thing we need to show more of. I have huge respect and trust in those showcasing the realities of owning a business - the practicalities, the mindset - more of this!
How could another business owner collaborate with you in 2022 + what are your top 3 topics for discussions?
Reclaiming your Lane is more than just reclaiming your career. It’s about reclaiming your who you are, your life, happiness, passions… - I’d love to collaborate with others who have a niche that focuses on women reclaiming a particular part of themselves or their lives.
Let’s create a holistic experience for women to reclaim their lane in business, relationships, health, wellbeing…the list goes on!

Who inspires you and why?
Honestly, the people who inspire me are the people I see showing up every day, working hard for what they want and remaining compassionate and humble along the way. I have this in the female role models in my life and the network of female friends and business owners I’m lucky to be surrounded by.
And finally babe, what is your favourite quote?
Tough question! I’m not sure this is my absolute favourite but it’s certainly one that’s stuck with me. “Every person is born an original, but sadly, most die copies.”
This for me, serves as a reminder that we all have uniques talents and gifts to share with the world. Our environment conditions us to believe success and happiness look like one thing when in fact it’s individual to us all. To bring the quote up to date - you do you!
